A former Immanuel Lifestyle student just sent me the following by email:
Jesus showed up today as I read Psalm 42:5, and I just had to share. The verse begins, "Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me?" In my own words, this means, "My soul is without hope. I want to return to something or someplace when I was more hopeful."
The second part of the verse is an encouragement to "Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His _____________." What do you think goes in this blank? Faithfulness? Love? Worthiness? Compassion? Whatever this is, I want it! God has provided it as a means of returning to hopefulness! What is the missing word?
